Sheila Byenkya is a certified project Manager (PMP).
She holds a Bsc. Mechanical Engineering from Makerere University, and an MBA from Edinburgh Business School. She started her career at Hima Cement Limited where she worked several technical and commercial management roles for over 13 years.
As capacity expansion project manager, she managed and led the expansion project that saw Hima Cement double its production capacity by setting up a plant in Tororo.
Sheila also oversaw transformation of the customer service and commercial operations function at Hima Cement that led to stronger customer orientation and in turn revenue growth.
She is currently the Project Management and Transformation Manager at ZEP-RE, a Pan African insurer based in Nairobi, where she is charged with implementation of the company’s strategy. In this role, Sheila manages the strategic planning process and tracks execution of strategic initiatives to ensure delivery of strategic objectives. As part of the innovation team, she is charged with identifying opportunities to grow the business in response to ever changing customer needs.
